A new career training program equips participants with the skills needed to be successful in retail, sales, food & beverage, and office administration.
The Key to Employment Program focuses on essential workplace skills and personal development. Participants will receive training in customer service, HMIS, and MICROS, as well as office technology integration. The program also covers topics such as assertiveness and self-confidence, communication strategies and creative problem solving.
The program equips participants with increased confidence and skills, and helps them find work as office staff, sales associates, servers, and other positions.
The program runs from September 22 to October 24 and will be held at the Lower Stl’atl’imx Tribal Council Office Monday through Thursday 9 AM – 4 PM, and Friday from 9 AM – 12 PM.
Participants must be of Aboriginal Ancestry (First Nations, Metis, Inuit) and be unemployed OR working less than 20 hours a week.
